Have A Happy Day Every Step of The Way

If you are checking back on my blog and think this card looks different, you are right! When I originally edited it for posting, I sharpened the colors too much. I corrected it and now it is the pale pastels that it is in real life!

I made this card for my monthly Stampin Up Club. Each month we inspire each other by bringing in items we made from previously purchased Stampin Up products. The "Show and Tell" sessions have really been a hit. We should call them our Enabler Sessions. Because believe me they have really increased the ticket sales. Ha Ha.

This month I chose to use stamps from Garden From The Heart and Picnic Parade. I stamped everything with Soft Suede ink. I cut the fence out with my Cricut "My Community" cartridge. The flower pot is a Sizzix. I made the cobblestones with Cuddlebug embossing folder (sorry I don't know the name of the folder). The background is shaded by chalking shades of blue, yellow and pink for the sky and shades of green for the grass. The birds stamped in the sky are from Scene It. Shading and coloring were done with colored pencils and Stampin Up Markers. I used pop up tape to give everything some dimension.

  3. Thanks for your lovely comments on my card. About my countdown to my month off work - it's my third year to be able to do this - its my reward for passing 7 exams for work. For every exam I passed I got 1 week's annual leave that I could carry forward until I used it up. So I will be in card-making heaven for the whole of November.
