Friends Brighten Your Day

See, I even finished the inside, yeah me!

Well I just couldn't miss the Sassy Cheryl Challenge this week.  Best Bud, Sassy Jeni is hosting the challenge and she wanted to see April Showers Cards.  Cheryl just created this new little image named  "Sam's Umbrella" and, of course I fell in love with her.  If you want to add her to your collection, you can get her here.  If you hurry and get her by Sunday night, you can get her for $2.00!  I bought her last week for $3.00.  I sure missed that bargain, didn't I?

My yummy DP is from the Hip Hooray collection at My Mind's Eye.  The Cloud paper is also My Mind's Eye but from the Good Day Sunshine collection.  The yellow card stock is DCWV.  The cloud itself was punched with a Friskar's punch.  I printed the digi twice and cut the umbrella out of the red polka dot paper and popped it up with foam tape.  I love dimension and liked the look it gave as Sam poked her head out from under the umbrella.  Everything was colored with Copics and the sparkles are a combination of Stickles and a glitter pen.  My sentiment is a clear stamp, but I am sorry to say I don't know the manufacturer.  Button from my stash and a little chalk to dress up the cloud and she is done.

I made this card while at Aww Shucks, my local scrapbook store.  While one customer was shopping, her daughter came over and helped me place the sentiment and chose the button for me to use.  So I must give credit to my designer apprentice, Sidney.  Sidney lives in Niagra Falls, Ontario Canada and was visiting Myrtle Beach this week.  I think she made the perfect choice, don't you?  How do you think it looks on the blog Sidney?  Thank you so much for your advice, you rock honey!

I have a surprise coming on Wednesday, so be sure and check back then.  You are not going to want to miss it, I promise!

Hugs and Happy Rest of the Weekend to you!

Saturated Color - Canary Style

Yep, It is Friday again and that means another Totally PaperCrafts Challenge!  This week Caroline is our Hostest with the Mostest and she wants to see color, lots of color, bright and happy color!  How do you like this for color?

We also have an exciting new sponsor this week.  Krista over at Saturated Canary is sponsoring us and she has given each of us a digi to use.  My digi is called Canary Love and that is exactly what I felt when I saw those big beautiful eyes.

Inspiration for this creation came from that delicious DP.  Doesn't it match our inspiration picture perfectly?  I bought this for 20 cents at The Hobby Lobby a year or so ago.  I loved the bright colors and white faux stitching and couldn't wait to use it.  I took my treasure home and it promptly became buried in my stash.  Saturated Color Challenge gave me the perfect opportunity to resurrect it.  I colored my sweet little girl to match the paper, hot glued on some matching flowers  and popped a couple of clouds on the top for balance and interest.

Now that you have seen my creation, hop on over to Totally PaperCrafts Challenge Blog to see what the rest of my Design Teamies have created for you.  If you love Saturated Canary designs, you don't want to miss this challenge, because one lucky winner will be able to make 2 of Krista's designs their  very own.

I have a surprise for you next week, so check back.  It is a goodie for sure, designed to make your dentist rich for sure!  Hugs and Happy Crafting.
