Christmas Time

Yep, believe it or not it is time to decorate the house.  Just in time for me to deck out my mantle, Mo Manning gave me this free, YES I SAID FREE, Gingerbread Man.  You can have it for free until Friday, November 30, by clicking here.  Mos is also running a contest on her Facebook page until then.  If you make a project using this cute little guy and post on her Facebook page you will be entered into a drawing for a gift certificate to her store.  If you are interested, hop over real quick and get busy making something delightful.

I took the gingerbread man and printed him in two different sizes on SU Crumbcake cardstock.  I inked the edges with TH Distress Ink - Brushed Corduroy and CTMH White Daisy ink.  I used a white gel pen to draw zigzag lines around the edges. Buttons for buttons and black pearls for eyes finished decorating him. The mouths were made with White Opal Liquid Pearls. I threaded Hemp cord through holes in the hands and linked them together.  Bits of colorful ribbon tied to the hemp finished off my garland.

What amazes me the most about these little men is the dimension Mo created when drawing a flat gingerbread man.  She drew them with edges which makes it stand out from clear across the room.  I am not sure how much you can see from these pictures, but they are really special.  Mo sure knows how to draw!

Hope you enjoy this post and get in on the special deal before it ends.  Let me know if you enter, I would like to check out your creation too.  Happy Crafting!

Linda

Surprise, Surprise, Surprise

Well that nosey bunch over at Sassy Cheryls SMT Blog (which I am a proud member of) is celebrating their 100th week.  To celebrate Cheryl is giving a $10.00 gift certificate away.  Now that is definitely something I don't want to miss out on.  This challenge is the time for you to post a picture of what you are working on.  A time for all the fellow bloggers to peek in your window and see what you have been up to.

Well I have been up to my elbows in making presents.  Unfortunately it is the most secretive time of the year, so I can't show them to you yet.  But here's a little tease.  All those things in the picture helped me create scrapbooks, cards, tags, baked goodies, quilled snowflakes, crocheted and knitted goodies.

Yes this Santa's helper has been B-U-S-Y working on "Smile Makers".  So what are you waiting for?  Grab your camera and show the rest of us nosie-rosies what you are up to in this "Happiest Time of The Year".

Birthday Greetings from The Mouse and God Bless Our Military!

MickeyNoahBirthday MickeyNoahBirthday.jpg

It's one for the boys time over at the Sassy Cheryl house this week.  Here's my take on the challenge.  I have had this little guy for awhile and just now got around to coloring him.  I love this little guy so much I even colored with my two hardest shades, Red and Black.  They are always a challenge for me and this time was no different.  I put down so much ink that it tends to bleed outside of the line.  I have been practicing a lot and didn't do too bad this time. (Don't look too closely at the shoes lol) I am determined to master these two colors.

If you would like to add "Noah Is All Ears" to your digital library, click right here.  Hurry and do it today because Cheryl is having her $2.00  weekend digi sale.  Every weekend she offers two of her newest digis to us for $2.00 and there is a $1.00 bin too.  Be sure to check them out, there are so  many  marvelous finds in there.

Hope this post finds you all enjoying a long weekend.  Here in the US we are celebrating Veteran's Day this Monday.  Thank you all of you Veterans out there.  America is a beautiful place to live with many freedoms to enjoy.  We certainly would not be able to say that if it weren't for you.  God Bless all of you and God Bless the parents and family members of our military.  They too make many sacrifices for all of us to live our wonderful lifestyles.

Guess What's for Dinner

Thanksgiving is just around the corner.  That means big ole yummy Turkey dinners and guess who brought home the turkey this year.   Now I don't know what she told that poor bird to get him to come home with her, but I have a feeling it was not that he was going TO BE the dinner.

Sally and Her Thanksgiving Turkey is another creation of that Sassy artist Cheryl Alger.   If you would like for Sally to bring her Thanksgiving turkey to you house, just click here and she will pop right into your library. While you are over at the store check out the special sale and fund raiser that is going on.  Cheryl will be donating proceeds from the sale of two other Thanksgiving stamps to the victims of Hurricane Sandy.  Check it out, I am sure you will find something you just "have to have" and be able to make a donation to help someone who really needs it right now.
