Football Dreams

I made this card for my Little Brother. He was in the hospital (went home today, thank you Jesus). We were all worried about his heart and he was worried about football season starting without him today. He is a football coach and that is his passion. I found this Goofy image in a program I have and knew right away it was my Bobby. My husband suggested the footballs and this card is now perfect for him. I can't wait to hear his response when he receives it in the mail. Ya'll keep him in your prayers because although he went home, he is quite "passionate" about football. We all know what "passion" can do to your stress level and blood pressure!!!!

P.S. Did I mention he is 100% Irish? That Irish "passion" is not a good combination to heart problems......

I love you Bobby, take care of you for me.

Snowman Magic

The Theme for Sassy Cheryl's Challenge this week is Cut-Out. This magic snowman is full of cutouts and surprises. Just open up the card and see what can happen when you truly believe!

I used two of Cheryl's images this week. All of my paper is from my stash and I don't know who the designer is. I cut out the image on the front with my Nestibilities and the punches for the sentiment on the front are from Stampin Up. The glitter is a combination of diamond and blue stickles and I colored all the images with my copics. The "Live Clock" inside is something from a bag of goodies I found at Tuesday Morning. Eleanor Roosevelt's sentiment is a stamp from Close To My Heart. I glued a few magical "diamonds" around the border to accentuate the magic and they were from AC Moore.

It is still gardening season and not too late to plant those snowman seeds. Do you believe? I live in the South, so I really have to believe if I want to grow a snowman!!! Come On, get out there and give it a try!

Gone Fishin

I have a bunch of "things" that I have made before that never made it to a finished project before. I thought it might be fun to combine some of them and see what came out. Whatcha think?

Finn and Friends

.

I created this card for Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #19. This week we had to use a sketch. I managed to get ALL the elements on this card, and I hope it doesn't look too busy. I loved this little boy when I first saw it and I am so excited I finally got to use it. He reminds me of my little grandson Jonathan whom we call Fin.

The papers are all from my stash, but the Starburst pattern is from 2008 Basic Grey porcelain collection. The belt is a border I have had for ages and I believe it came from Walmart. The stars are Creative Memories punches, the tab punch is from Stampin Up. I used my Copics to color. I attached the buttons with wire that I threaded through the button and stars. I then wrapped the wire around and around the end of a poker from my Making Memories toolset.

I hope you enjoy and thanks for stopping by!

Bubble Gum Birthday

I created this card for Sassy Cheryl's Challenge 18. We had to use the peach, blue and kraft color combination. I love this image and had been wanting to use it for awhile. I had a soft shade color combination in mind when I first read the challenge, but when I saw this blue polka dot paper from Bo Bunny at Scrapping at the Beach, I HAD to use it. The image and the paper reminded me of when my oldest Granddaughter Ashley was a little girl, she had a blue and white polka dot "swing dress". She wanted to wear that dress EVERYDAY. Many fond memories of my little Ashley twirling around and around came to mind while I was coloring this little minx.

I colored with Copics. I used my new square lattice embossing folder from Stampin Up for the beach oval and the balloons. I used my CuddleBug Circles embossing plate for my craft oval. The peach and solid blue papers are from Stampin Up. The Kraft paper is from the sale bin at Michaels. It is a little darker than the Stampin Up Kraft paper I usually use. Background is chalked and Diamond Stickles is highlights. I distressed the edge of the image with a "steak knife",lol. Happy Birthday stamp is from Artful Legacy, an online store. Balloon strings are wires, Hope you enjoy!

Good Morning Friend

I made this card for my Stampin Up Club. The stamp is from the Hostess Set, Country Morning. I colored the image with my Prisma Pencils. I found this paper at Scrapping at the Beach. It is Apple Orchard Gingham from Reminisce. I just loved working with it so much I went back the next day and bought more. I think I am going to make a note card set for a gift using this paper and my Country Morning stamps. I flipped it over and used the apples for the border trim on the card. The tab is punched from Stampin Up Tab punch. I finished the card, but couldn't decide where to put a sentiment or what it should say. My husband (who always offers me the best suggestions for my cards)suggested I do a pull-out for the sentiment. I decided to leave it blank until I have a specific need for it. I welcome your ideas for the sentiments. Thanks for taking a peek today! Have a great day!
