Hello Peeps, how was your Easter? Speaking of Peeps, I went to the grocery store to buy some for my Easter treat and they were all gone. Can't find a single package. I put on a bit of a pout and the "Very Knowledgeable Clerk" told me that the Dollar Store on Glens Bay Road had Birthday Cake peeps and they were only $.75. Guess who is heading that way today?
Enough of the peeps talk. I am posting a fun card I made for the mid-challenge reminder for Sassy Cheryl's "Showers and/or Flowers Challenge". I used Callie's Busy Day and the paper is from an old DCWV pad called "Linen Closet". I love how all the colors blend together. It gives it a calm cohesive feeling.
I used my Copic Markers and Faber Castel pencils to color Callie. I tried a new skin tone this time. I normally go for the warm peachy tones, but this week I tried a cooler mauve tone. Not really my favorite, but I am trying to step out of my comfort zone and experiment with different color combinations. The sentiment is from clear set in my stash. Sorry I don't know who the manufacturer is. The tall grass was cut with a "Tall Grass" from Impression Obsession.
The oh-so-talented Cheryl Alger Grant is the artist behind Miz Callie. She is one of the many little residents at Sassy Cheryl's store. I say residents because these little people really do have a life and personality of their own. Don't believe me? Click here and check it out for yourself. Cheryl has redone her store and has written little biography's for the kids. Some of the kids have received new hairdo's, new hats and even new glasses. Oh there are so many new surprises there. She has even added a gift card/gift certificate feature to the blog. You can buy a little present for that special crafting friend, or someone could pick up a gift card for you!
There is still time for you to win a Sassy Cheryl digi. Just create something using one of Cheryl's images with the theme of Flowers and/or Showers and link it up here.
Happy Crafting Peeps!
Linda

Hi Linda! Thank you for the love on my blog earlier today - was so nice to "meet" you! :) I love that your dog drives... I think my two would love to do that! They certainly can't fathom why they can't come on EVERY car trip!! (Reminds me of a funny story about The Boy, when he was nearly 5 he wanted to drive us all home from the restaurant - we told him he could if he could reach the pedals... knowing of course he couldn't - but what a fuss LOL! It still makes me giggle to think of it! Love the card you shared today, I must go find those challenges on Kit and Clowder when I have a spare minute. xo
