Sassy Cheryl Recycle Reuse or Repurpose Challenge

Well Cheryl has gone and done it again. Another gotta have it image. This one is called Tricycle Fun Girls. If it is a "gotta have it" image for you too, you can click here and get it real quick. LOL. When I first heard the challenge this week all these images ran through my head. Should I alter a checkbook box, a matchbox, a cute jar (but Ann did that so beautifully I couldn't match or top that). I had some old buttons and lace, shaped pasta even popped in my mind. But when I saw the lttle girls on the tricycle I knew immediately that I would use drywall tape as a sidewalk for them to ride their bikes on. How do you like it?

I used my Exacto Knife to trim the wheels and right shoe to allow me to run the drywall tape under the wheels. I left all the digi stick up a little bit so it looks like the bike is really on the sidewalk. I sponged on some SU Soft Suede ink to give the dry wall tape some color. Background is sponged with Brilliance Sky Blue ink using a cloud mask. I sponged a bit of green to give it a subtle hint of grass. I had to use this little dog. It is a stamp I bought at the show on Saturday. My precious dog, Bonnie, looks like her, so I will probably be using it on every card I make, ha ha. The dress is paper-pieced with some PaperTreyInk paper. The digi is colored with Copics and I used Prisma pencils to highlight and shade the hair and clothes on the girls. The little girl I am making this for is strawberry blonde, so I attempted to match. Not real pleased but this is my first attempt, so I will have to do some practicing in the future.

Ribbon is Martha Stewart and the 2 is a sticker on white circle that I edged in blue and then Paper Glazed glued on a larger circle stamped with a Just Write Stamp. Cardstock is Almost Navy and Pretty In Pink from Stampin Up. The DP is from Hobby Lobby - Jen Wilson's Breaking Free collection. This sentiment is from here . Doesn't it match just perfectly.

Hope this brings a smile to Our Little Jillian who is celebrating birthday #2!  Since I seem to be on a "2 theme" today I will just enter this card in a second Sassy Cheryl Challenge, the Color Me Challenge.
