Make A Wish

Totally PaperCrafts has a sketch challenge to kick off the New Year.  What could be easier than that?  Well that is what I thought.  Ha Ha.  I had Sassy Cheryl in the Winter  from the Sassy Cheryl Digi Shop picked out to use.  I colored her up with my Copics, cut her out, used a little Polar Ice Flower Soft for fur and popped her onto a Spellbinders Lattice Frame.  For papers I went immediately went to my Authentique pad of paper.  I love these papers and had no problem choosing three coordinating papers.  I found this circular word art I made using stamps from Just Rite, and everything fell into place 1 2 3.  Then a block appeared in my brain and my mojo disappeared.

Holy Cow I had the whole card put together and could not make a decision on what to use for the 3 embellishments on the corners.  I spent the next 2 hours playing with different things before I selected this arrangement.  It seems my "Most Beautiful Paper" pattern  was so busy and everything I tried was either too large or made the card look too busy to please me. So please tell me the truth, what do you think of the end result?  Please be honest, I think I can take it,  Ha Ha!

So why not hop on over to the Totally PaperCrafts blog and join in our first challenge for 2012.  I would love to see what you come up with using our sketch.  My teammates have come up with some awesome creations to inspire you.  There is also a $25.00 Gift Card at stake from Simon Says Stamp for the lucky winner.

Those Sassy girls over at Sassy Cheryl's  are having a "New Beginnings" challenge this week and I am going to enter this there too.  I love those gals over there and haven't been able to play in the last few challenges. This will be a new beginning of sorts for me just to join in.

Have a great week and be sure to set aside some time for crafting.  It is good for the soul!

Hugs,

Linda
