That's What Friends Are For

Sassy Ann is the hostess this week at Sassy Cheryl's Blog and she wants to celebrate Best Friends.  Since the characters in the Sassy Cheryl store are all friends, the choice was simple.  NOT.......  There were so many ideas running through my head I couldn't make a decision.  Finally I chose this one called, "Good Company".   I wanted this the moment I saw it, but I had so many others on my wish list.  Oh I am sure you know what I mean.  We can't have everything we want, can we?

I picked up this Graphic 45 Paper pack at Scrapbooks By The Sea.  The colors are so bright and summery.  (Is that even a word?)They symbolize happy colors to me.  The collection is called Bohemian Bazaar.  Graphic 45 usually has the muted shades in their collections, but this was so bright and pure.  I though it would make a perfect backdrop for the BFF card.  It was the perfect color combo for the quilt on Max's lap. 

I colored the image to match the DP and  I decided to keep the layout simple to allow the colors and patterns in the DP to shine.  I put the card together 123 and then hit a brick wall, so to speak. I wanted to add some for an embellishment.  I tried arranging them and they just looked too busy.  I even tried fussy cuts of flowers from another sheet of paper in the collection.  That was too busy.  What was I going to do?  You got it, leave it plain and go for it.  LOL  We spend all this money on beautiful DP and then proceed to cover it up.  Crafters are nuts aren't we? LOL

    Ms Linda, this is so beautimus, love the awesome dp you found, I think Max and Maddie are mesmerized by it a little. Love the man chair and reading stool scene, kind of cute together too sweet.

    Gorgeous! I agree...simple card design is a must with this fabulous, busy DP! And the scene is quite detailed, too...you don't want to miss a thing! Beautiful work, my friend! Love this!
