Happy Birthday Big Bob

I have a fabulous son-in-law who is quite the proper gentleman around me.   Bob has the size of John Wayne and the ethics of the big guy.  We hold John Wayne quite high in our households.  So I took the opportunity of Bob's birthday to combine this Mo Manning digi with a John Wayne quote I found over at TLC.  How do you like the combo?

I had this DP that looks like a Western bandanna that I cut into shapes.   The paper has a paisley print, so I used my paisley Cuttlebug folder to emboss black and garnet paper which is attached to some Kraft DP.  I popped a little (cowboy rope) and some brass colored eyelets for embellishment.  The sentiment is popped up with foam tape and everything was distressed with Soft Suede ink from SU.

I am going to enter this in the Ginger Snaps challenge.  They are having a western month and this weeks challenge is "Twine".   I am also entering it in Mo's Challenge Blog.  The theme is summer and I would say this little Hombre is dressed for summer!

Have a Blessed Weekend, Linda

  4. Aw Linda I'm sooh happy you teamed up this image with Paulette's word art set. She came up with this set for me for a Digi Doodle Image I was using at the time.
It's my all time favourite TLC set and I think it's so perfect for your card. :0)
Honestly it has me smiling from cheek to cheek right now! :0)
    A fantastic card.
JW holds such fond memories for me - I used to watch the old movies with my Nanna many years ago - in the small hours when she couldn't sleep. Smiles.)xx
