We're celebrating winter this week over at the Digi Doodle Challenge Blog. I did this card backwards from the way I usually create. I wanted to use this DP with all the antique toys on it. It was from Graphic 45 Christmas Emporium collection. When I went shopping at the Digi Doodle Shop, I found this little girl and she matched the paper perfectly.
I used my Copics to color it up, but I sure had a hard time photographing it. The dress and stocking and Poinsettia are all in red, but when I photographed it they look brown like the fireplace. I printed and colored two fireplace grates and logs. Cut one out and popped it up with foam tape for dimension. I used White Opal Stickles for the candles with Yellow Buttercup Stickles for the flames. The flower pot is colored with a gold gel pen. The sparkly red organza ribbon is from my stash and the lace is Recollections.
Would love to invite you all over to the Digi Doodle Shop this month. There is a sale going on on all animal stamps. You normally get 2 free digis with a $5.00 purchase, but this month you get 2 free digis (and they are precious, I promise) with a $7.00 purchase. We are donating $2.00 from every $7.00 purchase to Pet Pardons. This is an organization that pardons pets who would otherwise suffer from cruel deaths. You know I am a pet lover and I know how many of you are too. I see pictures and stories of your pets on your blogs. Be a pal, treat yourself to some digis, help our 4 legged friends and then enter our challenges. I have two links posted on my sidebar for your convenience too. They will be there for the entire month of November.
Remember this challenge theme is winter. You can enter as many times as you want and you do not have to use a Digi Doodle, but we would love you too and in November so would the furry creatures.
