Oakpond Creations is the hostess. Kim has a deep affection to all animals. She works in a Veterinarians office, so it was no surprise when she challenged us to create with cats and dogs.
I made eye contact with this sweet puppy at Sassy Cheryl's and surprise, surprise she managed to follow me home. :) Her name is Bella's Flower and she is bringing her Daddy a flower for Fathers Day. I got the idea for using Flower Soft for fur from Inky Digits pal, Paula Butler. I used Ivory and then colored it with Copics. How do you like how she turned out? I promise you it is easier to do animal fur with Flower Soft than coloring with Copics. Flower Soft comes in many colors even black which would be great if you are intimidated by coloring black like I am.
I used an EK Success paw print border punch and a Stampin' Up Tab and Slot punches. The paper is from My Minds Eye Lush pad. Sentiment is from Papertrey Ink Pond Life set. The button, bakers twine, ribbon and heart are from my stash.
If you are in the mood to create some cats and dogs this week, please post your finished project here. I would love to pop over and see your creation. Now do yourself a favor and pop over to TPC and see what my talented teamies have made to inspire you. You just may be the winner for a fabulous prize from our most wonderful sponsor Wild Rose Studios.
This is my last week as a designer for TPC. I have decided to step down from my DT duties. They have signed on some talented new designers so the blog will be better than ever. I look forward to seeing what exciting challenges are in the future.
