Totally Papercrafts, Miz Cathy my ever so talented teamie challenged us to doodle on our cards this week. I chose to make my background papers plain card stock. I then took a Sakura Jelly Roll pen in Clear Star and started doodling with swirls, leaves, flowers, dots and hearts. I was a little apprehensive at first so I practiced on scrap paper, but then decided just to go with the flow and this was the result. It was very relaxing and I will do this again. The paper is Stampin Up the ribbon from my stash. The sweet shy little girl is from Saturated Canary. She is called Peggy Sue. Are you old enough to hear Buddy Holly signing Oh Oh Peggy, My Peggy Sue uh ue, uh ue uh ue, ue ue?
Peggy Sue is colored with Copics and accented with Stickles. The border punch is EK Success and the Lacy Oval is Spellbinders. The ticket is a Tim Holtz that I ran through the Crimper and then antiqued with a pink inkpad. She is kind of plain and I didn't pop anything up for dimension (I know shock/horror, lol). I like the soft look that the card has IRL. Unfortunately my photography skills are pretty bad, but the doodling looks so much prettier IRL. Hope you enjoy my first doodle card. I would love to see what you could do with a pen, so grab one start scribbling and post it here. You know the drill by now and there is a fabulous prize from our sponsor, Delicious Doodles this week.
