Happy 4th of July America

Hello people.  Today is a day I have been wishing for for 3years.  My very first post as a proud member of the Sassy Cheryl Design Team.  The very first digi I colored was from Sassy Cheryl's Stamps.  My friend Jeni from Flip Flop Creations called me with an OMG, go to this website: http://www.sassycherylsstamps.com/.  Well I did and it has been my first "Go To" website for Digis ever since.

Over these past 3 years I have gotten to know Cheryl and her Sassettes better and grown to love not only their talent, but their senses of humor, willingness to help others.  These ladies are fun  and very very sassy.  I felt I had met my best friends.  I am so absolutely excited and happy to join their family that my feet haven't touched the ground since I heard I made the team.   I am looking forward to designing with the Sassy Cheryl team and sincerely hope I do them proud with my contributions.  I LOVE YOU GUYS- THANK YOU!

It is quite fitting for me to honor our flag on this 4th of July holiday week by using Cheryl's "Honoring The Flag Max and Maddie".  I made this as a center step card for my Mom to display on her bed table.  She is bed bound, living in my home and loves the holidays.  4th of July was always special to her because she was married on the 4th.  She and her husband were Boy Scout Leaders and  in charge of raising and lowering the flag in their hometown.  Her eyes lit up and she broke out in a smile when I showed her this.  She said "Oh Boy" so I will take that as an affirmative.

Max, Maddie, and the Flag were colored with Copics and then fussy cut out.  The stars and swag are chipboard punch outs from Bo Bunny.  The paper is from Reminisce and the gems are from my stash.  The flower on Maddies hat is a punch and I popped a little red gem in the center.

Now you should immediately pop over to the Sass Cheryl Challenge Blog and see what all of my Sassy Sistahs have designed to inspire you with this week.  Please leave them a little love and give a welcome hug to the new designers too.  My goodness there are some great cards this week.

Additional Challenges I would like to enter are:

Make It Monday- Anything Goes
Craft Your Passion- Red, White, & Blue
Digi Darla Challenge - Stars & Stripes - Red White & Blue

every since.

  16. Linda, this is so sweet - one of the sweetest Patriotic cards I have seen and then when you combine it with your Mom's story it becomes the sweetest one ever! Wow - a totally meaningful and heartfelt card - those are the BEST. Fun idea having them be by the flag together and making is so your Mom can see it while she is in bed. So much heart here. TFS. Hugz - hugz for your Mom as well.

PS Congrats on being on the team - you were the perfect choice of course!
