Don't you just love ole' Gus with his sunburn face, chest and feet. He's all dressed up in his new "duds" and headin' out for a fun day in the ocean. Looks like he didn't learn his lesson yesterday, because I still don't see any Sun Screen in his bucket. I guess he hopes he'll find some good lookin bikini wahini to thrown his beach ball too.
I made this card for a customer who celebrated his 65th Birthday today. He owns a restaurant/bar on the boardwalk here at Myrtle Beach and he sees plenty of men who look like Gus everyday! He got a kick out of the card portraying him as "Gus". If you're ever in Myrtle Beach, stop in at Starvin Marvins for a fabulous burger or wings. Tell him you saw his card on my blog. Tell him Linda said to give you a discount.
You can find the image over at Bugaboo's. Jodi has some hilarious images to make some snarky cards with. I colored him with my Copics and used Paper Glaze on his glasses. I forgot about the Paper Glaze being wet when I snapped the picture so his glasses look a little foggy. I think it looks like he stepped out of a air conditioned room into a steamy hot summer day. My glasses always fog up when I do that. DP is DCWV "The Green Stack" and the cardstock is SU.
I am entering Gus into the following challenges:
Totally Paper Crafts Challenge 74 - The Beach

I just love Gus! He's so adorable. The brightly colored paper and the buttons are a nice touch. Great card! I think I have eaten at Starvin Marvin's, but it was years ago.
