"Fast Is Fine, But Accuracy Is Everything". Wyatt Earp

My ruler is so tall and heavy, it kept tipping over my whole pencil jar.  I tried storing it flat, but then couldn't see it because it is clear.  I needed a solution.... What to do???   Re-purpose my oatmeal box, that's what I did.  I thought I was going to have to add some pebbles to the bottom to keep it from tipping over but it is working just fine without them.

This was so much fun.  I had the perfect piece of paper in a DCWV La'Creme pad.  The scallops were already in the pattern so I punched holes in every-other scallop and laced it together with Bakers Twine.  12" paper is not quite wide enough so I filled the spot with a coordinating solid piece of card stock.  The inside lining is a piece of black Swiss dot paper from Making Memories.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge this week is "Back to School" and this project is for my "school supplies".   School is a place of learning and my craft table certainly fits that definition.  Don't you agree?  So every minute, hour or day we spend at our craft tables is an exercise in improving our minds!  It may not be calculus or Shakespeare, but it is certainly a learning experience.

I made a tag using Triple Heart Raggedies from Sassy Cheryl  that I just absolutely adore (I know, I adore all of them), but I really do adore this one.   I have had this one for ages, but it is still available in the $1.00 bin, The tag is cut from the same card stock and DP from the box.  (The reverse side of the tag is the DP).  The measuring tape is from my stash and the sentiment is computer generated.  I saw this sentiment on a cutting mat over at Aww Shucks Scrapbook store.  It is a quote from Wyatt Earp and I think it fits his lifestyle and mine quite well.  I wished I had remembered to type Wyatt's name on the tag.  It would have made it so much more meaningful.  To all my friends across the pond that may not know who Wyatt Earp is, he was a famous gunslinger and sheriff in the "Wild Old West" days.  He was very fast but also very accurate lol.

Well I am off to school today.  I have a get-well and a birthday card to complete today.  What ever you are doing, be sure to find some time to go back to school today.  Hugs ya'll!
