Does He Love Me?

Sassy Heather wants us to use ribbon and lace on our card this week!  Whoo Hoo because you know I love my ribbon.  But I had to tone it down a bit because I made this card for my DH.  Saturday is our 45th Wedding Anniversary and I decided one of my favorite little Sassy Cheryl digis' was going to do the talking for me this year.  This is Buttercup Susie and I have used her before, but she is so cute, isn't she?  I decided this time she is plucking the petals off of the flower to see if Jimmy really loves me or not.  Did you play that game when you were little?  Remember how swcared you were when you got down to the last couple of petals and you could predict the answer.  My goodness we put such store in this "scientific test".  We all just knew it was as accurate as asking the Quija Board!

I colored this little sweetie in shades of pale orange one day at work just because I wanted to use my orange Copics.  When I decided to use this digi and started looking for matching paper I found this very old paper in my stash.  I got so excited because I used something I "HAD TO HAVE", bought it, brought it home and then never used it.  I don't know the manufacturer and the cardstock and tag are from the same pack.  The lace and  flowers are Recollections, highlighted with Copics and stickles.  The button, pins and ribbon are from my stash.  The sentiment is computer generated and punched with a SU tab punch.

I guess I will have to wait until Saturday to find out if he loves me or not.  So check back next week and I will let you know.  Ha Ha.

I am entering this in Sassy Cheryls Challenge #74 Ribbons & Lace.  Why not join me in the fun?

  12. 45 years?!!! WHAT?!!! You've been married almost as long as I've been alive. (Ok, so I've got almost three years on your marriage). WOWZA lady, you don't look anywhere near old enough to have been married that long. What did you do? Get married when you were 7?

Your card is adorable - that image just cracks me up!
