Hang In There

Had a house full today.   We celebrated my husband and my Granddaughter Kaylee's Birthdays.  Pulled pork barbecue, homemade potato salad, baked beans and deviled eggs.  Mmmmmm Mmmmm good ole' Southern Comfort food.  My daughter, Cami made the most beautiful zebra striped black, white and pink cake for Kaylee.  She made her Daddy a big ole' pineapple upside down cake.  Then you know what that sweet daughter and her husband did?  They took both of my son's daughters and their own three kids back to Charleston with them tonight.  They will be there until Thursday!!  My house is so quiet and I got to hit the craft table!  Sweet Sweet Cami and Bob.  I really owe them big time!.

I have decided to show you another one of my attempts at coloring the Magnolia stamps. I'm still not real satisfied with the face.  I seem to have a problem with blending the skin tones and leaving part of it white.  I found a real good tutorial to watch, but I have to practice some more.  One thing I definitely know is that I love the Magnolias and they are such fun to color.  Edwin is all caught up on the anchor, and I think that makes a perfect card for a friend who is going through one of life's low spots or who may be sick.  He's a real cutie in my opinion.

I colored him with Copics, matted him with Soft Suede SU cardstock run through a crimper.  All the card stock is SU, the ivory strip is stamped with the Very Vintage SU Roller run through some Soft Suede Ink.  The DP is from K & Company.   Border punch is MS and the ribbon and anchor charm are from my stash.  I have colored the Little Girl version, but haven't made her into a card yet.  I will though because she is too cute!

I am going to enter this in Totally Papercrafts Boys Challenge this week.  Check it out I have a couple of blogging friends on the Design Team and my pal Jeni made her debut this week on their team.  Join in if you want.  There are great prizes to win.
