Snowman At Home

This weeks challenge at Sassy Cheryl's is "Anything But Square"  I think this easel card qualifies, how a bout you.  If you would like the chance to win a great little digi like this "Wind Up Santa" click on the title above and enter your card!

This little snowman is having fun playing with his "Wind up Santa".  In fact, if you like this digi you can pop on over to http://www.sassycheryls.com/ and pick one up in color or black and white.   Doesn't he look cozy in his little Igloo?

Real igloos are man-made blocks of snow.  They are all different shapes and sizes piled together to make a wall.  There is a ice room inside for the homeowners and a welcoming entrance.  When I saw this digi I loved it immediately.  He looked like he was laying on his living room floor dreaming of the real Santa coming with presents.  Problem was what kind of house would a Snowman live in.  Well it would have to be a snow house wouldn't it?

So I got to "Play".  I crinkled up white cardstock, cut it into squares, inked the edges, glued it down and sprinkled it with "Snow Glitter".  The digi is colored with Copics and then I used the crayon resist technique to sponge a warm background.  I made a welcome mat with "ice" all over it (be careful, don't slip).  Of course a Christmas House has to have lights and a wreath.  Now this precious little man has a fitting house to live in for the winter.

Papers:  DP - Tradition; Cardstock - Stampin-UP
Inks- SU - Sahara Sand, Old Olive, Christmas Red
          Archival Brillance Pearlescent Sky Blue
Embellishments -Lights by Jolee, Snowflake by MS, Snow Glitter by MS
